Oregon hiking trails - Scorpion Mountain Trail, Central Cascade Range, Marion County

   
  There are wilderness trails all over Oregon, and Scorpion Mountain Trail in Marion County is one of them. With so many outdoors pursuits available in Oregon you'll never get bored. It's a lengthy trip from Hood River to Scorpion Mountain Trail, but it is a wonderful hiking and backpacking trail. Scorpion Mountain Trail gets a lot of water; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. Finally, hiking time
    is here again, and Scorpion Mountain Trail in Marion County, Oregon is such a wonderful spot. This is one of a very small number of hiking trails in this region. This is not a very long great outdoors hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case
something happens. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backpacking, it is a tremendous idea. The total elevation difference for this trail is 176 feet which is a lower than average number. Every single Oregon wilderness trail has its own character. Scorpion Mountain Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors hiking trail. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very good way to see these highlands. This hike shouldn't take more than 1 hours,  
but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Scorpion Mountain Trail is 1 miles long it's a short great outdoors hiking trail. Scorpion Mountain Trail has two trailheads, so hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Scorpion Mountain Trail is a very short hiking trail with very little uphill walking involved which makes it an outstanding hiking trail if you're looking for an easy stroll or if you're bringing small kids. At Scorpion Mountain Trail during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's, and the night is rather chillier of course, commonly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's while the cold winter nights at Scorpion Mountain Trail are in the 30's. Sometimes this great outdoors hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

Man, is there a heap of cool things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Camping at Lemiti Campground is always a perfect experience, and camping is available at Detroit Lake State Park.
