There are many great backpacking and hiking trails in Oregon, and among these are Salmon Creek Trail in Lane County. This trek shouldn't take more than 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some
    a bit faster. Salmon Creek Trail is 8.2 miles long it's an average length great outdoors hiking trail. This hiking trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. The length of Salmon Creek Trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which
makes this great outdoors trail perfect for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There's not much difference in elevation along Salmon Creek Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding area. Salmon Creek Trail is a wet location that gets a large amount of rain; through December this vicinity sees the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Salmon Creek Trail.  
Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Salmon Creek Trail temperatures sink to the 20's. Trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are a really wonderful way to spend quality time in the wilderness. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 1,173 feet, and that is about average. This is a long backcountry trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Salmon Creek Trail is a very long way away from civilization, and backcountry trekking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a magnificent site to do that. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location.

That right there is a load of cool things already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. A tour to Waldo Meadows revitalizes the soul, and Lillian Falls is always fun to check out.
Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go home again. Some of the water nearby flows, like Nettie Creek; get your pulse rate up on the glorious whitewater of McKenzie River - South Fork. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Salmon Creek Trail. If you came to camp Twin Springs Campground is a good place to do that; camping at Shelter Cove Resort is always a nice experience. Cupit Mary Meadow is right here at Salmon Creek Trail, and you can run the rapids of Hills Creek.
Looking for some flowing water? Try Edith Creek, and a spree to Klovdahl Bay is always a wonderful idea.
