Oregon hiking trails - Rocky Point Way, Central Cascade Range, Lane County

   
  Going for a hike here in Oregon is always a cool thing to do. Oregon is an excellent place for outdoors folks. There are plenty of great outdoors trails in Oregon; each one of them has something unique to offer. During the warm days of summer at Rocky Point Way highs are usually in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's, and overnight lows all through the wintertime for Rocky Point Way tend to be in the 30's. Rocky Point Way is a normal length great outdoors hiking
    trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Rocky Point Way has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry walk it just one way. Please follow all
local rules about fires and camping. This great outdoors trail has a total elevation difference of 2,915 feet which is a higher than average number. The pretty great outdoors hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really perfect way to spend quality time in the fresh air. This area does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Rocky Point Way is positioned a relatively lengthy drive from Eugene-Springfield, but it is a good hiking trail. Put on your backcountry  
trekking shoes, and hit the hiking trail, Rocky Point Way in Lane County, Oregon is a really good place to spend some time. A large amount of rainfall falls at Rocky Point Way; most of the rain falls during November; July is when it's the driest. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 8 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Some parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking and backpacking trail, and that means that some parts of the hiking and backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. This is a long great outdoors hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding neighborhood. With its 8.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek. Perfect great outdoors trails in Oregon are in abundance, and Rocky Point Way is one of them, and it's in Lane County.

Briefly about the general area:
Glide down the rapids of Brice Creek in a kayak; hey, Gold Creek is a tremendous local stream. Camping at Oakridge Mobile Home Park is always a wonderful experience, and get dripping wet paddling on Willamette River - Middle Fork.
Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Sand Prairie is a picturesque place any time of year, and a good site to camp here at Rocky Point Way is Oakridge RV Park. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Rocky Point Way. Stony Cove is in the vicinity of Rocky Point Way and is a perfect spot to check out. Little Pine Openings is a glorious location to check out, and swing by Windfall Creek it's a wonderful site to stop at.
