This backcountry trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This hike shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Different parts of Rocky Point Way are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for this backcountry trail is 2,915 feet, and that is higher than average. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Rocky Point Way is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. With its 8.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail.
