deal of rainfall; during November this region sees the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Going for a walk here in Oregon never gets boring. Rather far from Eugene-Springfield you find Rocky Point Way, but it sure is a an outstanding trail. This region does get very
dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that.
Briefly
about the general area: A great place for whitewater paddling next to Rocky Point Way is Willamette River - Middle Fork, and Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a great campground nearby. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things in the Central Cascade Range. Brice Creek is
a good whitewater spot in the vicinity of Rocky Point Way, and taking a little trip to nearby Stony Cove is a brilliant idea. Everybody loves Sand Prairie; some of the water nearby flows, like Windfall Creek. Looking for some flowing water? Try Gold Creek, and you can stay
the night at Oakridge RV Park. This place, Rocky Point Way, it completely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Little Pine Openings is right here at Rocky Point Way.
