Oregon has plenty of good backcountry trails, and Rocky Point Trail in Klamath County is one of them. Some parts of Rocky Point Trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking trail, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts
    of it. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,163 feet which is about average. Rocky Point Trail gets much water; December is the month that gets the most snow, and July meanwhile is the driest month. With its 3.2 miles of walking distance it's
a short hiking trail. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. High temperatures at Rocky Point Trail during the summer months are in the 60's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Rocky Point Trail. The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 3 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is one of a very small number of trails

This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. In Oregon you never run out of outdoors fun. The wonderful backcountry trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a very great way to see these mountaintops.
