You spend the whole backcountry hike in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your backcountry hike. This trek shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The total elevation difference for this wilderness hiking trail is 274 feet which is a lower than average number. Being 3.4 miles long it's shorter than many trails. Rimrock Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry hike. This wilderness trail is not that long but it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.
