We all need to get out in the great outdoors once in a while, and Reservation Trail in Jefferson County, Oregon is a perfect location for getting out. Oregon has plenty of splendid backpacking and hiking trails; Reservation Trail in Jefferson County is one of them. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon is a splendid way to spend some time. at different elevations. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Even though this is not a very long hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case
| | something happens. Backcountry backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is the best way to enjoy these mountaintops. Reservation Trail is a mid-length hiking and backpacking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an outstanding wilderness trail for the average person looking for an outstanding adventure. 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Reservation Trail temperatures fall to the 20's. With its 4.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry trek. A lot of rainfall falls at Reservation Trail;
most of the rain falls through December, and the driest month is July. This is one of a very small number of wilderness trails in this neighborhood. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 4.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared
for that. Every Oregon backpacking and hiking trail has its own unique splendor. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This part of Oregon is always a bliss to explore during backpacking season. This trail has a total elevation difference of 1,940 feet which is
about average. This trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end.
Briefly about the general area: In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling
on Metolius River; Box Canyon is another great place to stop at close by. If you came to camp Drift Campground is a perfect spot to do that, and why not stop at Box Canyon Dam if you're here. So much amusing stuff to do at Reservation Trail, so little time. This lake is so
wonderful. A short tour to Beachkomb Spring is always worthwhile, and there's some flowing water nearby, Spring Creek is a stream you can explore during your stay. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. Street Creek flows through this area. There's
so much to do here at Reservation Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Street Creek Boating Site and Campground is a tremendous site for that.
