Oregon hiking trails - Reservation Trail, Central Cascade Range, Jefferson County

   
  Oregon is a brilliant outdoors state. Reservation Trail is not very close to Bend at all, but backcountry trails like these are great. Pleasant hiking trails in Oregon are in abundance; one of them being Reservation Trail in Jefferson County. This great outdoors trail is a normal length great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail delightful for the average trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. The total elevation difference for Reservation Trail is 1,940 feet which is about average. There are not
    too many hiking trails in this vicinity. Even though this is not a very long backcountry trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. The great outdoors trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very great way to see these summits. There
are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so backcountry backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This wilderness hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Reservation Trail gets a great deal of water; December is when you get the most rain here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. With its 4.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length  
wilderness hiking trail. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 4.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Every single Oregon hiking trail is well worth a backcountry hike. Spending too much time indoors got you down? No problem, if you happen to be in Jefferson County of Oregon, Reservation Trail is an excellent local backcountry trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. Summertime highs at Reservation Trail ordinarily tend to be in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows through the winter for Reservation Trail tend to be in the 20's. Going for a backcountry hike here in Oregon is always an exciting thing to do.

Briefly about the general area:
This river is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a good little trip to Spring Creek, and a great place is Box Canyon. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Central Cascade Range has to offer. A trip to Beachkomb Spring will fill your spirit with delightful feelings, and you can stay the night at Drift Campground.
Street Creek is a wonderful stream that is worth going to, and Reservation Trail is a delightful location to camp, Street Creek Boating Site and Campground is a delightful location. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff right next door to Reservation Trail. There's whitewater on Metolius River for all you adrenaline people, and you can take a little visit to Box Canyon Dam while you're here at Reservation Trail.
