Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,098 feet which is about average. The hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very good way to see these peaks. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. This hiking trail is a normal length
hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced trekkers looking for a glorious challenge. This is one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding neighborhood. The time needed for this backcountry walk is
roughly 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. At parts of the year this area sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

Resort is a wonderful campground nearby; Zims Point is in close proximity and always magnificent to have a look at. The sights at Crater Lake National Park will blow your mind, and let's not forget Rhodod Creek which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Wharf Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting.
