with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Portage Trail are in the 30's. Portage Trail sees pretty high levels of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This is a one trailhead backcountry trail, so you'll
be backcountry trekking it in and back out. Portage Trail is 11 miles long; it's a long backcountry trail. Of course, this is an overnight hike, 1.5 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
