the water falling down from the sky makes Portage Trail a wet location; the month with most of the rain is December, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This neighborhood does get very dry sometimes, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.
Of course, this is an overnight hike, 1.5 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. With its 11 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer hike. Backcountry hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are an excellent way
to explore these mountains. Summer at Portage Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the nighttime is somewhat colder of course, frequently in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are frequently in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 30's for Portage Trail.

astonishing. Sandy River is a great whitewater spot close to Portage Trail It's always pleasant to visit Yocum Falls. Eden Park is a nice location to stretch your legs a bit, and a quick trip to Rushing Water Creek is absolutely a pleasant idea. Yep, outdoors exciting stuff
truly is abundant here in the Central Cascade Range. Why not camp at Barlow Campground while you're here at Portage Trail; Old Maid Flat is a stunning place any time of year.
