so you're looking at an in and out walk. Portage Trail is 11 miles long; it's a long hiking trail. This walk should take you about 1.5 days, so it's a nice thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so do pack enough food to last the
whole trip. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

things to do in the Central Cascade Range. At Portage Trail you always meet someone from Hood River, and a nice location to camp here at Portage Trail is Twin Bridges Campground. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff to do are in fact abundant here at Portage Trail. Ramona Falls is a tremendous
local attraction; hey, Muddy Fork is a great local stream. Yocum Falls is a wonderful spot to pop by while you're at Portage Trail, and Old Maid Flat is a splendid place here at Portage Trail. A delightful location near Portage Trail is Sand Canyon; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Sandy River.
