This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Zigzag Canyon is a wonderful location to check out nearby; if you're dropping by from Hood River, you won't be the only one. So many enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. A trip to Yocum Falls will fill your soul with fine feelings.
Lady Creek is a wonderful local stream, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Mount Hood National Forest. Stay the night at Barlow Campground, and glide down the rapids of Zigzag River in a kayak. Wind Creek Basin is a good site here at Pioneer Bridle Trail; paddling on Sandy River is so much fun.
So many fun things in close proximity to Pioneer Bridle Trail, just tremendous. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Pioneer Bridle Trail has to offer, you can camp at Twin Bridges Campground, and why not a little side journey to Wind Creek.
