Oregon hiking trails - Pioneer Bridle Trail, Central Cascade Range, Clackamas County

   
  Pioneer Bridle Trail is a hiking trail quite far from Hood River, but It's always cool to backcountry trek here. There are plenty of backpacking trails in Oregon; each one of them has something unique to offer. Here in Oregon hiking is so much fun. Backcountry hiking trails are magnificent and plentiful in Oregon, and Pioneer Bridle Trail in Clackamas County is one of them. This trail has a total elevation difference of 1,256 feet which is about average. This is a long wilderness hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. In Oregon you never
    run out of outdoors fun. This wilderness hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride
back. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 7.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The backcountry trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these highlands. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Pioneer Bridle Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is the wilderness at its best. Summertime highs at Pioneer Bridle Trail typically tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's commonly  
in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's while Pioneer Bridle Trail nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 30's. There are so many backpacking trails in this area. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry hiking trail which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Pioneer Bridle Trail is 8.4 miles long it's a mid length walk. The length of this backcountry trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking trail nice for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. All the water falling down from the sky makes Pioneer Bridle Trail a wet site; through the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July is when it's the driest.

Briefly about the general area:
So much cool stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Bridges Campground is a great spot to camp, and a spree to Wind Creek Basin invigorates the soul. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. Since you're here at Pioneer Bridle Trail why not have a look at Zigzag Canyon.
Not far from Pioneer Bridle Trail you can enjoy the trees of Mount Hood National Forest, and Wind Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth visiting. Paddling on Sandy River is so much fun, and do put some time aside to spend at Yocum Falls while you're here at Pioneer Bridle Trail. Camping is available at Barlow Campground, and get soaked paddling on Zigzag River.
So many fun things next to Pioneer Bridle Trail, absolutely unbelievable. Lots of people from Hood River come to Pioneer Bridle Trail, and there's some flowing water close by, Lady Creek is a stream you can have a look at during your stay.
