  Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Pinnacle Ridge Trail in Hood River County, Oregon is a brilliant location to go. Pinnacle Ridge Trail is a backpacking trail quite far from Hood River, but it is a really great backpacking trail. Outdoors people generally like this part of Oregon. There are so many great outdoors hiking trails in this neighborhood. High temperatures at Pinnacle Ridge Trail through the summer are in the 70's; the night is somewhat colder of course, typically in the 50's. Highs through the
    winter are typically in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Pinnacle Ridge Trail. This backcountry walk shouldn't take more than 5.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. The pretty hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range
are an outstanding way to explore these mountains. Hiking here in Oregon is always an exciting thing to do. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Pinnacle Ridge Trail typically gets a great deal of precipitation; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July meanwhile is the driest

Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Pinnacle Ridge Trail is 6.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. Pinnacle Ridge Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,515 feet which is higher than average. Now this great outdoors trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Every backcountry trail in Oregon is worth backpacking. Pinnacle Ridge Trail is a one trailhead great outdoors trail, so you're looking at an in and out trek.

Briefly about the general area:
Pinnacle Ridge Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Reservoir Campground is a glorious local campground, and in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hood River - Lake Branch. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Central Cascade Range rocks! There's some flowing water nearby, Pinnacle Creek is a stream you can stop at while you're here, and everybody loves Wy'east Basin.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. If you're going to Pinnacle Ridge Trail from Hood River, you won't be the only one, and whitewater paddling is great on Hood River - West Fork. A tour to Elk Cove invigorates the spirit, and camping at Dufur Valley Farms is always a fine experience. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the Central Cascade Range has to offer.
This is such a great river. Put some time aside to spend at Wallalute Falls while you're here at Pinnacle Ridge Trail, and let's not forget Compass Creek which is a stream that you may run into while you're here.
