Oregon hiking trails - Peep Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

   
  If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go hiking, it is something that is always fun to do. Time to get out, and breathe some fresh air, and Peep Creek Trail in Grant County, Oregon is a great place for getting out. Peep Creek Trail is a wilderness hiking trail relatively far from Pendleton-Hermiston, but it is a really great wilderness hiking trail. Peep Creek Trail has two trailheads, so backcountry trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This is one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding neighborhood. Peep Creek
    Trail is a very long hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an outstanding backcountry trail for experienced hikers in great shape. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. There are plenty of wilderness trails in Oregon; each one of
them is different from the others. The total elevation difference for this wilderness trail is 1,043 feet, and that is about average. The hiking trails of the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these hills. At Peep Creek Trail you don’t see much rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain; July meanwhile is the driest month. In Oregon you never run out of outdoors fun. The wilderness hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Summer at Peep  
Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows at Peep Creek Trail throughout the winter usually drop into the 10's. The time needed for this hike is roughly 9 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 10 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. Oregon has plenty of fine wilderness trails, and Peep Creek Trail in Grant County is one of them.

Briefly about the general area:
Little Kelsay Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting, and Mud Spring is a fine local attraction. So much fun stuff to do here in the Blue Mountains, too wonderful to be true.
Near Peep Creek Trail you hit upon Horse Canyon which is a delightful spot to have a look at; Peep Creek Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lehman Hot Springs is a great local campground. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Peep Creek Trail. There's whitewater on John Day River - North Fork for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and a journey to Round Meadows revives the soul. Put some time aside to spend at Snapp Spring while you're here at Peep Creek Trail; Onion Flats is a great site to check out.
Man, is there plenty of exciting things to do in the Blue Mountains. There's so much to do here at Peep Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Trough Creek Campground is a splendid place for that; Camp Creek is near Peep Creek Trail and is always a delight to take a look at.
