Oregon hiking trails - Peep Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a good challenge. There's not much difference in elevation along Peep Creek Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 9 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Peep Creek Trail gets very little rainfall; November is the month that gets the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Spending too  
much time indoors got you down? No problem, Peep Creek Trail in Grant County, Oregon is just the place. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The pretty hiking and backpacking trails of the Blue Mountains are a magnificent way to explore these summits. Peep Creek Trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. This is a long backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Peep Creek Trail is 10 miles long; it's considered a longer backcountry hike. This is just one of a large number of hiking and backpacking trails in this vicinity. As long as you like the fresh air you will like Oregon.

Briefly about the general area:
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Blue Mountains. A short visit to Mud Spring is always worthwhile, and since you're here, you might as well go to Horse Canyon. Trough Creek Campground is a perfect local campground, and do check out Little Kelsay Creek since you're here at Peep Creek Trail.
Do set aside some time for Round Meadows since you're here at Peep Creek Trail, and don't forget to take a magnificent little visit to Camp Creek. Now, you may believe that's a heap but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Peep Creek Trail. Don’t forget to have a look at Onion Flats since you're here at Peep Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on John Day River - North Fork for all you adrenaline junkies. Lehman Hot Springs is a magnificent campground nearby; Snapp Spring is a striking site to have a look at while you're at Peep Creek Trail.
So many cool things in the Blue Mountains, just mind-boggling.
