This is a two-ended trail with two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Different parts of Pass Creek Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry hiking trail. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 7 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This region does get very dry sometimes, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 7.8 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry trek. Pass Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,839 feet which is an average number. Keep in mind that this is a long wilderness hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.
