There is only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out walk. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The total elevation difference for Paradise Trail is 2,883 feet which is a higher than average number. Paradise Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. Paradise Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. With its 8.6 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail.
