Oregon hiking trails - Packsaddle Trail, Coast Ranges, Curry County

   
  This part of Oregon is always a diversion to take a look at during hiking season. When you're here in Oregon backcountry backpacking along one of its hiking trails is an excellent idea. It's a long journey from Crescent City North to Packsaddle Trail, but you always have a glorious time when you're backcountry backpacking along it. These wilderness hiking trails here in the Coast Ranges are the best way to enjoy these mountains. This wilderness hiking trail is a normal length wilderness hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes
    it a nice backpacking trail for the average person looking for a nice adventure. Packsaddle Trail is not that long but it's always good to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Every single Oregon hiking trail is well worth a backcountry walk. With its
4.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length great outdoors hiking trail. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 4 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are hiking trails all over Oregon, and one of those is Packsaddle Trail in Curry County. All through the summer months, highs regularly are in the 60's at Packsaddle Trail. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Packsaddle Trail are in the 40's. Some parts of this  
great outdoors hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the great outdoors hiking trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Packsaddle Trail a wet place; during the month of December you get the most rain around here; the driest of the months is July. This wilderness hiking trail has two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Finally, backcountry backpacking time is here again, and Packsaddle Trail in Curry County, Oregon is a glorious place for getting out. There are not too many backpacking trails in this area. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. The total elevation difference for this wilderness hiking trail is 1,548 feet, and that is about average. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

Briefly about the general area:
If time allows, Redwood National and State Parks is a national park worth stopping at. There's so much to do here at Packsaddle Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Ramblin Rose RV Resort is a nice place for that. Sankey Creek is a stream that you may encounter during your stay; people from Crescent City North love to come here.
There's some flowing water close by, Bridge Creek is a stream you can stop at during your stay. Be careful coming to the Coast Ranges, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Packsaddle Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Salmon Harbor Resort is a glorious local campground, and get covered with water paddling on Smith River - North Fork.
