Hey, time for a backcountry walk don’t you think? Old Baldy Trail in Clackamas County, Oregon is a wonderful place for getting out. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. There are many glorious great outdoors trails in Oregon, and one of those is Old Baldy Trail in Clackamas County. There's not much difference in elevation
    along the great outdoors hiking trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors hiking trail. A great deal of precipitation falls at Old Baldy Trail; December is the wettest month with most rain; July on the other hand is the driest. This is a region
covered with lots of great outdoors hiking trails. This hiking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to backcountry hike it normally. Old Baldy Trail has a total elevation difference of 638 feet which is lower than average. This great outdoors trail is a great outdoors trail of wonderful length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors hiking trail perfect for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. During the summertime at Old Baldy Trail highs are commonly in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad  
cooler of course, frequently in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Old Baldy Trail are in the 30's. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. Backcountry backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a very wonderful way to see these mountains. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry trek, 1.5 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. With its 11 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many great outdoors hiking trails. You'll have to go far from Hood River to get to Old Baldy Trail, but backcountry trails like these are good. Every great outdoors trail in Oregon is different from the others.

Briefly about the general area:
There's so much to do here at Old Baldy Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Shining Lake Campground is a nice spot for that; why not take a little spree to Shining Creek if you're here. If you come at the right time of year, Sandy River offers some great whitewater.
Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Roaring River, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Squaw Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Old Baldy Trail has to offer, you can camp at Lookout Springs Campground; Squaw Meadow is right here at Old Baldy Trail.
