  Oregon has plenty of nice backcountry trails, and Old Baldy Trail is one of them, and it's in Clackamas County. Backcountry trekking in Oregon is something that is always fun to do. A long drive separates Hood River from Old Baldy Trail, but backcountry trekking along this hiking trail is very exciting. The total elevation difference for this backpacking trail is 638 feet, and that is lower than average. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. The backpacking and hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best
    way to enjoy these highlands. This hike should take you about 1.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. With its 11 miles of walking distance; it's a long great outdoors trail. We all need to get out in nature once in a while, and Old Baldy Trail in Clackamas
County, Oregon is such a tremendous site. Summertime at Old Baldy Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. Throughout the wintertime this site gets highs in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Old Baldy Trail fall into the 30's. Each backcountry trail in Oregon is worth backpacking. Old Baldy Trail is a pretty wet site usually with lots of rain; December is the month that gets the most rain, and July on the other hand is the driest. This backpacking trail has only  
one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. This is an area covered with lots of trails. Now this backcountry hiking trail is pretty long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some hiking. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. This backpacking and hiking trail is a very long backpacking and hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it an excellent trail for experienced hikers in magnificent shape.

Briefly about the general area:
A pleasant trip to Squaw Meadow is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, and a quick visit to Squaw Creek is beyond doubt a nice idea. If you're here at Old Baldy Trail, you could visit Shining Creek, and why not camp at Lookout Springs Campground while you're here at Old Baldy Trail.
So many fun things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too nice to be true. If you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring River, and Shining Lake Campground is a great local campground. Sandy River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by.
