trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry hike.
Briefly about the general area: Camping at Lookout Springs Campground is always a pleasant experience. Paddling on Sandy River is so much fun; there's some flowing water close by, Shining Creek is a stream
you can pop by during your stay. So many cool things in the Central Cascade Range, just inspiring. Squaw Meadow is a delightful location to stretch your legs a bit, and Squaw Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth a visit. Camping is available at Shining Lake Campground, and whitewater paddling is fine on Roaring River.
