South Trail in Douglas County, Oregon is the wilderness at its best. North and South Trail usually gets much rain; during November this region sees the most rain while July is commonly the driest month. You should count on this walk taking about 2 hours, but of course some people
walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. With its 2.2 miles of walking distance it's shorter than many hiking and backpacking trails. These backpacking and hiking trails here in the Southern Cascade Range are a really great way to spend quality time in the outdoors. North and South

in the Southern Cascade Range. North and South Trail is a tremendous spot to visit for more than one day, Huckleberry Lake Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby; get yourself into a kayak and hit Jackson Creek. Looking for some flowing water? Try Serviceberry Creek, and if you come at the right time of year, Jackson Creek offers some pleasant whitewater.
