Oregon hiking trails - Mud Lake Trail, Central Cascade Range, Deschutes County

   
  Here in the fine state of Oregon trekking is the fine thing to do. With so many outdoors activities available in Oregon you'll never get bored. Quite far from Bend you run into Mud Lake Trail, but wilderness trails like these are perfect. Wilderness hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are an outstanding way to explore these mountaintops. There are not too many backpacking and hiking trails in this region. Being 3.8 miles long it's shorter than many hiking trails. The total elevation difference for Mud Lake Trail is 212 feet
    which is lower than average. Mud Lake Trail is a rather wet site usually with much precipitation; the month with most of the snow is December; the driest month of the year is July. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could
go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. At Mud Lake Trail during the summertime months highs are in the 70's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's. Throughout the winter this site gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Mud Lake Trail. This trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. There are so many fine backpacking trails for trekking in Oregon; one of them being Mud Lake Trail in  
Deschutes County. This is not a very long great outdoors hiking trail but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Each one of the many backpacking trails of Oregon is well worth a backcountry walk. The hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your walk. Mud Lake Trail is a very short wilderness hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backpacking and hiking trail tremendous for the average backcountry walker looking for a fun adventure. Hey, time for a walk don’t you think? Mud Lake Trail in Deschutes County, Oregon is the outdoors at its best.

Briefly about the general area:
Camping is available at Upper Campground; swing by Soda Creek it's a tremendous place to explore. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. A great spot to camp here at Mud Lake Trail is East Lake Resort and RV Parks, and do take a look at Fall Creek if you're here at Mud Lake Trail.
