Through the warm days of summer at Mud Lake Trail temperatures are generally in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Mud Lake Trail. These backcountry hiking trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a very delightful way to see these summits. Mud Lake Trail is a one trailhead great outdoors trail, so in and out is the way to backcountry walk it normally.

It's a good idea to have a look at Soda Creek, it's close to Mud Lake Trail, and Mud Lake Trail is a splendid spot to camp, East Lake Resort and RV Parks is a splendid spot. Now, you may feel that's a load but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A quick spree to Fall Creek near Mud Lake Trail is a great idea, and you can stay the night at Upper Campground.
