Glorious hiking trails in Oregon are in abundance, and Mount Scott Trail in Klamath County is one of them. Mount Scott Trail is a quite wet place usually with much rainfall; most of the snow falls all through December while July is frequently the driest month. This wilderness hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Finally, hiking time is here again, and Mount
    Scott Trail in Klamath County, Oregon is the great outdoors at its best. Even though this is not a very long wilderness hiking trail it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. There's not much difference in elevation along the backcountry
hiking trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backcountry hiking trail. You should count on this walk taking about 3.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. At Mount Scott Trail during the summertime highs are in the 60's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Mount Scott Trail dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights. Every hiking trail in Oregon is worth backcountry trekking. You'll need to go far  
from Klamath Falls to get to Mount Scott Trail, but It's always amusing to trek here. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's an average length backcountry hiking trail. The length of this hiking and backpacking trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail perfect for the average backcountry walker looking for an enjoyable adventure. Mount Scott Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,381 feet which is about average. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. These hiking and backpacking trails here in the Southern Cascade Range are a nice way to explore these mountaintops. This is a one trailhead hiking trail, so you'll be backcountry trekking it in and back out. This is one of a very small number of backcountry hiking trails in this region.

Briefly about the general area:
A visit to Mount Scott Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Pothole Spring. This is a great river. A short spree to Cascade Spring is always worthwhile; taking a little spree to close by Grotto Cove is a great idea.
Stay the night at Crater Lake Campground RV Park, and don't miss out on a tour to Crater Lake National Park if you're here. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Southern Cascade Range, too tremendous to be true. Mazama Campground is a magnificent campground here, and a pleasant place to have a look at is Kerr Valley.
