  We all need to get out in nature once in a while, and Mother Lode Trail in Marion County, Oregon is a magnificent spot to go. Here in the great state of Oregon backcountry backpacking is something that is always fun to do. Mother Lode Trail is a long drive away from Hood River, but backcountry trekking it is always fun. There are so many backcountry hiking trails in this area. Mother Lode Trail is 21.4 miles long; it's longer than many great outdoors hiking trails. Some parts of Mother Lode Trail are much higher up than other parts of the great outdoors

temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 40's, and throughout the dark hours in the wintertime at Mother Lode Trail temperatures drop to the 30's. These great outdoors trails here in the Central Cascade Range are a really glorious way to spend quality time in the fresh air. This is a long backcountry trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There are wilderness  
hiking trails all over Oregon, and one of these is Mother Lode Trail in Marion County. Of course, this is an overnight hike, 3 days normally, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Oregon has lots of outdoors pastimes. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This backcountry trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This great outdoors trail is a very long great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail fine for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 3,313 feet, and that is higher than average. The high level of precipitation makes Mother Lode Trail a relatively wet site; most of the rain falls during December, and July is the month with the least moisture. There are plenty of wilderness hiking trails in Oregon; each one of them is delightful in its own way.

You definitely should have a thing about the Central Cascade Range. Put some time aside to spend at Pegleg Falls since you're here at Mother Lode Trail. A great place to camp here at Mother Lode Trail is Skookum Lake Campground, and a trip to Terrace Spring will fill your spirit with delightful feelings.
These mountains rock, just check out all the exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Some nearby water includes Mother Lode Creek, and while you're here why not check out Beachie Saddle. Getting to Battle Creek from Mother Lode Trail is easy, and Mother Lode Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, B and B Rentals is a wonderful local campground. Toma Meadow is a splendid spot to check out; get dripping wet paddling on Collawash River.
