has its own unique splendor. With its 21.4 miles of walking distance; it's a long wilderness hiking trail. This is just one of a large number of hiking trails in this vicinity. During the months of summer highs here at Mother Lode Trail get into the 70's with night lows in the
50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's with temperatures at Mother Lode Trail dipping down into the 30's throughout winter nights. Mother Lode Trail is a long tour away from Hood River, but it sure is a an excellent backcountry trail. The total elevation difference for
this great outdoors trail is 3,313 feet which is higher than average. Now, this is roughly a 3-day trek, so it's a great thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job.
Briefly about the general area: Beachie Saddle is a wonderful place to explore close by, and a
tour to Pansy Basin revitalizes the soul. Yep, outdoors amusing things truly is plentiful here in the Central Cascade Range. Mother Lode Trail is a nice spot to visit for more than one day, Skookum Lake Campground is a nice spot to camp nearby. There's no way anybody can get
bored here in the Central Cascade Range. B and B Rentals is a great campground nearby; Toma Meadow is right here at Mother Lode Trail. And if that's not sufficient, there's a lot more to do in the neighborhood of Mother Lode Trail. A short visit to Terrace Spring is always worthwhile,
and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Breitenbush River. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Collawash River; a quick tour to Mother Lode Creek is without doubt a glorious idea. Battle Creek flows through this region, and Pegleg Falls is an inspiring spot to check out while you're here.
