the 10's during winter nights. Oregon is a good outdoors state. This is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. Oregon has plenty of good trails, and Moss Creek Trail is one of them, and it's in Klamath County. This walk shouldn't take more than
6.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moss Creek Trail a wet place; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest month is July. The charming backcountry trails
of the Southern Cascade Range are a good way to explore these hills. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this neighborhood. Being 7.6 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike.
Briefly about the general area: There's no way someone can get
bored here in the Southern Cascade Range. Moss Creek Trail is a good spot to visit for more than one day, White Pine Campground is a good spot to camp nearby, and glide down the rapids of Klamath River in a kayak. Wampler Spring is a nice local attraction, and getting to Moss
Creek from Moss Creek Trail is uncomplicated. South Pass is a magnificent site to visit close to Moss Creek Trail; Rocky Point Resort is a great campground nearby.
