Oregon hiking trails - Mirror Lake Trail, Central Cascade Range, Deschutes County

   
  Mirror Lake Trail is a long journey away from Bend, but it is one of many great wilderness hiking trails in this neighborhood. There are so many tremendous wilderness hiking trails for trekking in Oregon, and one of those is Mirror Lake Trail in Deschutes County. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some hiking. Trekking in Oregon is always a fun thing to do. The time needed for this trek is roughly 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions
    and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Mirror Lake Trail is a one trailhead hiking and backpacking trail, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. Hey, time for a backcountry trek don’t you think? Mirror Lake Trail in Deschutes County, Oregon
is an outstanding selection. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of backcountry trails. There's not much difference in elevation along Mirror Lake Trail, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking trail. Being 7 miles long it's a mid length hike. Hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is a really nice way to spend quality time in nature. Every wilderness hiking trail in Oregon is well worth a backcountry walk. During the months of summer highs here at Mirror Lake Trail  
reach the 80's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, generally in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and night lows through the wintertime for Mirror Lake Trail tend to be in the 20's. Mirror Lake Trail is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. The total elevation difference for this hiking and backpacking trail is 605 feet which is lower than average. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mirror Lake Trail a wet place; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. The length of this wilderness trail is about average having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a nice backcountry trail for experienced backcountry hikers in fine shape.

Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Squaw Creek; Blacktail Spring is a stunning place to take a look at while you're at Mirror Lake Trail. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Mirror Lake Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Upper Campground is a great place to camp.
Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a great time. Looking for some flowing water? Try Tyee Creek, and Quinn Meadows is a lovely place any time of year. Getting to Sink Creek from Mirror Lake Trail is trouble-free; a short tour to Elk Lake Springs is always worthwhile. Why not camp at East Lake Resort and RV Parks while you're here at Mirror Lake Trail; a pleasant journey to Wickiup Plain is a perfect way to spend an afternoon.
