Oregon hiking trails - Mirror Lake Trail, Central Cascade Range, Deschutes County

   
  Mirror Lake Trail is a backpacking and hiking trail relatively far from Bend, but what an outstanding spot for backcountry trekking it is. Hiking in Oregon is such a splendid thing to do. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backpacking, it is an excellent idea. Mirror Lake Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. Mirror Lake Trail has a total elevation difference of 605 feet, and that is lower than average. Each one of the many backcountry trails of Oregon
    has its own unique prettiness. This is a neighborhood covered with lots of backpacking trails. Being 7 miles long it's a mid length backcountry walk. Much rain falls at Mirror Lake Trail; during the month of December you get the most rain around here, and July meanwhile is the
driest month. This is a backpacking trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Oregon has plenty of nice backcountry trails, and one of those is Mirror Lake Trail in Deschutes County. At Mirror Lake Trail all through the warmest time of the year highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and winter nights come  
with lows in the 20's to Mirror Lake Trail. The time needed for this backcountry hike is roughly 6 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The length of Mirror Lake Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backpacking trail great for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Hiking and backpacking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are a very nice way to see these peaks. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the outdoors a bit, and Mirror Lake Trail in Deschutes County, Oregon is just what you need. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go.

You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mirror Lake Trail has to offer, you can camp at East Lake Resort and RV Parks, and a trip to Wickiup Plain revitalizes the spirit. Sink Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay, and don't leave Mirror Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Blacktail Spring.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable things at Mirror Lake Trail. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Squaw Creek. It's always fine to stop by Elk Lake Springs, and there's some flowing water nearby, Tyee Creek is a stream you can check out while here. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Mirror Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Upper Campground is a good site for that; everyone loves Quinn Meadows.
