The time needed for this backcountry trek is roughly 5.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Mill Creek Trail is 6 miles long it's an average length hiking and backpacking trail. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mill Creek Trail while nighttime lows are usually in the 40's. All through the wintertime the highs are usually in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Mill Creek Trail are in the 20's. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Mill Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be hiking it in and back out.

If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Southern Cascade Range. Dead Soldier Meadow is a nice spot; if you came for an overnight stay Mountain Home Mobile Village is a delightful place to camp. Don't forget to take a brilliant little journey to Dead Soldier Creek; stopping by Crater Lake National Park is just something you need to do if you haven't yet.
This is such a fun river. It's a splendid idea to check out Grouse Creek, it's close to Mill Creek Trail, and there's whitewater on Rogue River - North Fork for all you adrenaline junkies. Alder Spring is a stunning location to stop at while you're at Mill Creek Trail, and why not camp at Haymaker Campground if you're here at Mill Creek Trail. Yeah, come here to Mill Creek Trail for a perfect time.
