Oregon hiking trails - Maxwell Trail, Central Cascade Range, Linn County

   
  Oregon has plenty of good backcountry hiking trails, and among these are Maxwell Trail in Linn County. Quite far from Bend you encounter Maxwell Trail, but It's always fun to backcountry trek here. If you are in Oregon during backcountry backpacking season you have to go backcountry backpacking. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. When you're here in Oregon trekking along one of its backcountry hiking trails never gets boring. The wilderness hiking trails of the
    Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these summits. Each backcountry hiking trail in Oregon is well worth a hike. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Maxwell Trail is 8.4 miles long it's an average length hiking and backpacking
trail. The total elevation difference for Maxwell Trail is 2,511 feet, and that is higher than average. You should count on this hike taking about 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is just one of a large number of backcountry trails in this region. Some parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking and backpacking trail, and that means that some parts of the hiking and backpacking trail could be very different from other parts of it. The high level of rain makes  
Maxwell Trail a pretty wet spot; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is typically the driest month. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. All through the summer here at Maxwell Trail, high temperatures usually get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Maxwell Trail are in the 30's. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Maxwell Trail in Linn County, Oregon is a really delightful location to spend some time. This wilderness hiking trail is a normal length wilderness hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a wonderful backcountry trail for experienced backcountry hikers in great shape. Now this wilderness trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies.

Briefly about the general area:
This place, the Central Cascade Range, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A great site to camp here at Maxwell Trail is Country Star Recreational Vehicle Park; Marion Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby. Maxwell Trail is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a delightful local campground, and some nearby water includes Green Creek.
Yeah, come here to Maxwell Trail for a tremendous time. Paddling on Santiam River - North is so much fun, and Swede Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at. Big Spring is a delightful place to check out while you're at Maxwell Trail, and since you're here at Maxwell Trail it's a nice idea to stop at Duffy Prairie.
