These backcountry trails here in the Blue Mountains are the best way to enjoy these peaks. Finally, trekking time is here again, and Martin Creek Trail in Grant County, Oregon is such an excellent spot. You spend the whole backcountry hike in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same
    conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. Being 8.8 miles long it's an average length wilderness hiking trail. This backcountry trek shouldn't take more than 8 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. All through the summertime here at
Martin Creek Trail, high temperatures usually reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 30's. Throughout the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Martin Creek Trail. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. While visiting this region in Oregon it's an outstanding idea to go trekking too. This wilderness hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 902 feet which is a lower than average number. Relatively far from La Grande you  
bump into Martin Creek Trail, but you always have an excellent time when you're trekking along it. Martin Creek Trail is a two ended wilderness hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Martin Creek Trail is pretty waterless mostly; the month with most of the rain is November while July is mostly the driest month. Martin Creek Trail is a normal length backcountry trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backpacking and hiking trail for advanced hikers looking for a perfect challenge. This is just one of a large number of backpacking and hiking trails in this area. This is a long hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out.

Places like Moon Meadow are glorious to pop by, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Martin Creek. China Meadow is a magnificent place; if you're here why not pop by Wagner Gulch.
So much amusing stuff to do in the Blue Mountains, not enough time. Martin Creek Trail is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Time and a Half Campground is a pleasant local campground; why not take a little journey to Squaw Creek if you're here. Yeah, come here to Martin Creek Trail for a brilliant time. John Day River - North Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by; camping at Camp Elkanah Campground is always a good experience. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Packsaddle Spring, and paddling on Grande Ronde River is so much fun.
There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Mountains.
