some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The time needed for this walk is roughly 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This part of Oregon is always a delight to check out during hiking season. This is one of a very small
number of backpacking trails in this neighborhood.
Briefly about the general area: Lookout Mountain Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Tombstone Prairie Campground is a brilliant local campground; whitewater paddling is magnificent on Blue River.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Cascade Range. There's so much to do here at Lookout Mountain Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Patio RV Park is a brilliant site for that; Horse Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot close by.
