month with the least amount of precipitation. This backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 527 feet which is lower than average. Backcountry backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a wonderful way to explore these mountaintops. Being 3.2 miles long it's shorter
than many backpacking trails. This hiking trail is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this hiking trail perfect for the average hiker looking for a cool adventure. Lookout Mountain Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone
the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backpacking trail. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go.
Briefly about the general area: So many entertaining things to do in the Central Cascade Range,
not enough time. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Horse Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lookout Mountain Trail has to offer, you can camp at Tombstone Prairie Campground. There's whitewater on Blue River for all you adrenaline kick people, and Lookout Mountain Trail is a great place to camp, Patio RV Park is a great place.
