There are so many good backcountry hiking trails for backcountry backpacking in Oregon; one of them being Little Lake Trail in Jefferson County. This backcountry hike should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed.
    Here in the good state of Oregon backcountry backpacking is so much fun. This trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Little Lake Trail is 12.6 miles long; it's considered a longer hike. This is one of many backcountry
trails in the surrounding region. The length of Little Lake Trail is on the longer side having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backcountry trail pleasant for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. There's not much difference in elevation along Little Lake Trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This hiking and backpacking trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry trek it  
just one way. A lot of rainfall falls at Little Lake Trail; most of the rain falls through December, and July on the other hand is the driest. Hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is a really great way to spend quality time in nature. High temperatures at Little Lake Trail during the summertime months are in the 70's; the overnight is quite cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Little Lake Trail tend to be in the 20's. There are numerous backcountry hiking trails in Oregon, and each one has something unique to offer. This hiking and backpacking trail has a total elevation difference of 1,199 feet which is an average number. This is a long trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.

And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Lost Lake Creek is a delightful local stream. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Squaw Creek, and Cold Springs Resort is a brilliant campground here.
Just can't get enough of the Central Cascade Range. Don't leave Little Lake Trail without first paying a visit to Douthit Spring, and nearby you stumble on magnificent locations like Minto Pass. The surroundings of this river have so much to offer. Looking for some flowing water? Try Link Creek, and do set aside some time for Canyon Creek Meadows while you're here at Little Lake Trail. It's always tremendous to check out Two Springs, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Marion Creek.
Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Little Lake Trail. If you came for an overnight stay Suttle Lake Resort and Marina is a magnificent place to camp; a pleasant trip to Bear Valley Lake is a good way to spend an afternoon.
