Oregon hiking trails - Little Lake Trail, Central Cascade Range, Jefferson County

   
  Relatively far from Bend you locate Little Lake Trail, but it's one of those locations where hiking is wonderful. Hiking in Oregon never gets boring. When was the last time you got out in the great outdoors a bit? Little Lake Trail in Jefferson County, Oregon is a magnificent location for getting out. Oregon is a perfect place for outdoors people. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking and backpacking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. With its 12.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer backcountry hike. Little Lake Trail
    has a total elevation difference of 1,199 feet which is an average number. Now, this is roughly a 2-day walk, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. This is a region covered with lots of backcountry trails. Through the summer here at Little Lake Trail, high temperatures
commonly reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Little Lake Trail. Sometimes this hiking and backpacking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. Little Lake Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the rain is December; July is the month with the least moisture. And keep in mind that  
there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. Hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these hills. There are many delightful hiking trails in Oregon; Little Lake Trail in Jefferson County is one of them. Little Lake Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole backpacking trail. Little Lake Trail is a wilderness hiking trail of brilliant length having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough backcountry trail for advanced backcountry walkers looking for a nice challenge. Each hiking trail in Oregon has its own unique loveliness. This is a two-ended hiking trail with two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry hike it just one way.

Briefly about the general area:
Put some time aside to spend at Douthit Spring if you're here at Little Lake Trail; Minto Pass is definitely a fine spot to pop by. Having a fine time in the Central Cascade Range is easy. There are some pleasant whitewater spots on Marion Creek; Two Springs is a tremendous local attraction.
If you're here at Little Lake Trail, you could pop by Lost Lake Creek. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Little Lake Trail has to offer, you can camp at Suttle Lake Resort and Marina. Why not take a look at close by Link Creek if you're here at Little Lake Trail, and Bear Valley Lake is right here at Little Lake Trail. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Central Cascade Range. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Squaw Creek.
If only every spot had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great globe it would be. There's so much to do here at Little Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Cold Springs Resort is a pleasant place for that; a tour to Canyon Creek Meadows invigorates the spirit.
