This hiking trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Leach Camp Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,608 feet which is an average number. This backpacking trail sometimes gets very dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Being 2.2 miles long it's a shorter type trek. This is not a very long backpacking trail but it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Some parts of Leach Camp Trail are much higher up than other parts of the trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. You should count on this backcountry walk taking about 2 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster.
