Oregon hiking trails - Leach Camp Trail, Central Cascade Range, Douglas County

   
  Oregon has so much to offer the great outdoors lovers. There are so many wonderful wilderness hiking trails for backpacking in Oregon; one of those is Leach Camp Trail in Douglas County. Going for a trek here in Oregon is a good way to spend some time. The high level of rain makes Leach Camp Trail a rather wet place; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Even though this is not a very long wilderness hiking trail you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens.
    This region does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. You'll have to go far from Eugene-Springfield to get to Leach Camp Trail, but when you hike it you're always having a glorious
time. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. This hike shouldn't take more than 2 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are so many backcountry hiking trails in this region. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can backcountry walk it just one way. The total elevation difference for Leach Camp Trail is 1,608 feet, and that is about average. The wilderness hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best  
way to enjoy these peaks. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Leach Camp Trail in Douglas County, Oregon is just what you need. Throughout the long summer days here at Leach Camp Trail, high temperatures regularly reach the 70's, and the nighttime is a bit cooler of course, generally in the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Leach Camp Trail drop into the 30's. Every Oregon wilderness hiking trail is wonderful in its own way. With its 2.2 miles of walking distance it's a short wilderness trail. Leach Camp Trail is a very short wilderness hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a glorious backcountry hiking trail for the average person looking for a glorious adventure. Leach Camp Trail goes through some very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations.

Take a little spree to East Pass Creek since you're here at Leach Camp Trail; camping is available at Smith Springs Campground. Get dripping wet paddling on Canyon Creek.
So many enjoyable things to do here in the Central Cascade Range, too good to be true. Getting to Call Creek from Leach Camp Trail is trouble-free, and if you came for an overnight stay River View RV Park is a great place to camp.
