Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains. Backout Creek flows through this vicinity. Snowshoe Spring is a delightful place to have a look at while you're
at Lake Creek Trail, and there are some glorious whitewater spots on Grande Ronde River. Lake Creek Trail is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Deerhorn Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Lost Meadow is a great site to stretch your legs a bit.
So much
amusing stuff to do at Lake Creek Trail, so little time. Anderson Gulch is a good site to stop by nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit John Day River - North Fork.
