so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Kitson Ridge Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,666 feet, and that is higher than average. A visit to Oregon is not complete without some backcountry backpacking. With its 12.6 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many wilderness hiking trails. Hiking trails for backcountry trekking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon,  
and one of these is Kitson Ridge Trail in Lane County. The backcountry hiking trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these highlands. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry walk, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. High temperatures at Kitson Ridge Trail during the months of summer are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's; nighttime lows during the wintertime for Kitson Ridge Trail tend to be in the 30's. This is a long trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon never gets boring. Kitson Ridge Trail has two trailheads, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can walk it just one way. There are so many hiking trails in this area.

Salmon Falls is always fun to check out; getting to Shady Creek from Kitson Ridge Trail is simple. Just can't get enough of Kitson Ridge Trail. There's whitewater on Salt Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and High Prairie is a splendid place here at Kitson Ridge Trail.
A short tour to Cottonwood Spring is always worthwhile, and Larison Cove is not far at all. Shady Gap is a fine spot to explore, and everyone loves Crabapple Prairie. Having a great time in the Central Cascade Range is easy. Take a little trip to Tumble Creek since you're here at Kitson Ridge Trail. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Kitson Ridge Trail has to offer, you can camp at Oakridge RV Park.
But wait, there's more enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. You can run the rapids of Salmon Creek in the vicinity of Kitson Ridge Trail. There's so much to do here at Kitson Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a nice spot for that.
