Oregon hiking trails - Kitson Ridge Trail, Central Cascade Range, Lane County

Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the wilderness a bit, and Kitson Ridge Trail in Lane County, Oregon is a tremendous site for getting out. Kitson Ridge Trail is a great outdoors trail of delightful length with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a nice backpacking and hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in great shape. All through the
    summertime highs here at Kitson Ridge Trail reach the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Kitson Ridge Trail are in the 30's. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 2 days normally, so
better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking trail. The total elevation difference for this backcountry hiking trail is 3,666 feet which is a higher than average number. Great outdoors trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these hills. This is a long backpacking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This is a two-ended backcountry  
hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Kitson Ridge Trail is a rather wet spot frequently with lots of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most while July is usually the driest month. Every backcountry trail in Oregon is different from the others. No chance of getting bored in Oregon if you like the great outdoors. It's a long trip from Eugene-Springfield to Kitson Ridge Trail, but you always have a tremendous time when you're backcountry hiking along it. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. With its 12.6 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many hiking trails. This is just one of a large number of backpacking and hiking trails in this area.

Briefly about the general area:
Some of the water nearby flows, like Shady Creek, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Salmon Creek. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Central Cascade Range. A visit to Kitson Ridge Trail wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Cottonwood Spring; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Tumble Creek.
A trip to nearby Larison Cove is very relaxing. There's so much to do here at Kitson Ridge Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Oakridge Mobile Home Park is a fine place for that. At this river you will always have a good time. A good place near Kitson Ridge Trail is Shady Gap, and a pleasant tour to Crabapple Prairie is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon. So many entertaining things to do here at Kitson Ridge Trail, too great to be true. A short spree to Salmon Falls is always worthwhile. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Kitson Ridge Trail has to offer, you can camp at Oakridge RV Park.
So much exciting stuff in the Central Cascade Range, just mind-blowing. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Salt Creek, and High Prairie is a stunning location any time of year. This river has so much to offer.
