Trails like this one here in the Southern Cascade Range are a very great way to see these peaks. Each one of the many backcountry hiking trails of Oregon has something unique to offer. King Spruce
    Trail is 5.6 miles long it's an average length hiking and backpacking trail. This is not a very long trail but it's always tremendous to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. The total elevation difference for this backpacking and hiking trail is 974
feet which is lower than average. This is a vicinity covered with lots of trails. The length of King Spruce Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this trail great for the average backcountry trekker looking for a cool adventure. This hike shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Throughout the warmest time of the year highs here at King Spruce Trail reach the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the  
40's, and through the dark hours in the winter at King Spruce Trail temperatures sink to the 20's. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. From a rainfall point of view King Spruce Trail is a reasonably typical spot; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. King Spruce Trail is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. The hiking and backpacking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. King Spruce Trail is to be found a rather lengthy journey from Klamath Falls, but it is a brilliant hideaway from the town. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in location.

If time allows, Crater Lake National Park is a national park worth stopping at; do put some time aside to spend at Fantail Spring since you're here at King Spruce Trail.
Hemlock Lake Campground is a splendid local campground; a visit to Seven Lakes Basin invigorates the spirit. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool stuff the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. King Spruce Trail is a glorious spot to visit for more than one day, Upper South Fork Campground is a glorious spot to camp nearby, and Fire Spring is a delightful local attraction.
