Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Jefferson Park Trail is 17.6 miles long; it's a long backpacking and hiking  
trail. This backcountry trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry trek. Jefferson Park Trail is a backpacking and hiking trail rather far from Hood River, but it is one of many perfect backpacking and hiking trails in this vicinity. Some parts of this backpacking and hiking trail are much higher up than other parts of the backpacking and hiking trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backpacking and hiking trail. The high level of rainfall makes Jefferson Park Trail a rather wet place; December is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. A splendid location right next door to Jefferson Park Trail is Jefferson Park, and do set aside some time for Grizzly Flat while you're here at Jefferson Park Trail.
Don't forget to take a wonderful little spree to Jeff Creek, and a visit to Flapper Springs will fill your spirit with great feelings. It's a splendid idea to have a look at Crag Creek, it's in the neighborhood of Jefferson Park Trail It's always glorious to have a look at Gatch Falls. And that's not all you can do here at Jefferson Park Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Marion Creek, and a good place to camp here at Jefferson Park Trail is Lemiti Campground.
There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Central Cascade Range. There's whitewater on Breitenbush River for all you adrenaline junkies.
