Different parts of Janus Butte Trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the backpacking and hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. local rules about fires and camping. The backpacking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very delightful way to see these mountains. With its 8.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry walk. Janus Butte Trail is a one trailhead hiking and backpacking trail,
so you'll be trekking it in and back out. The time needed for this trek is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This is one of many wilderness hiking trails in the surrounding area. Backcountry hiking in Oregon is such a glorious
thing to do.
Briefly about the general area: Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff close to Janus Butte Trail. Camping is available at Skookum Lake Campground, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Breitenbush
River. Don’t forget to go to Fawn Meadow since you're here at Janus Butte Trail; you could always explore Graham Pass. Visit Elk Lake Creek while you're here at Janus Butte Trail, and why not camp at B and B Rentals if you're here at Janus Butte Trail. But wait, there's more
enjoyable stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range. There are some good whitewater spots on Collawash River, and Round Meadow is a good site here at Janus Butte Trail. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Take a side visit to Pine Cone Creek It's always perfect to stop at Maryanne Spring.
