Oregon hiking trails - Janus Butte Trail, Central Cascade Range, Marion County

Sometimes this backcountry trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Janus Butte Trail is not very near Hood River at all, but it is an exciting spot to hike. This trail is a mid length trail
    with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this a very tough hiking and backpacking trail for advanced trekkers looking for a fine challenge. This backcountry hike shouldn't take more than 7.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so
be prepared for that. There is only one trailhead, so you'll be trekking it in and back out. The total elevation difference for Janus Butte Trail is 2,376 feet which is about average. A large amount of rain falls at Janus Butte Trail; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is ordinarily the driest month. Janus Butte Trail is quite long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in spot. All through the warmest time of the year here at Janus Butte Trail,  
high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are regularly in the 40's; overnight lows in the 30's for Janus Butte Trail. This hiking trail goes through some very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Backcountry backpacking here in the Central Cascade Range is a really perfect way to spend quality time in the outdoors. Janus Butte Trail is 8.2 miles long it's a mid length hike. Every Oregon trail has its own unique prettiness. This is a region covered with lots of hiking and backpacking trails. Be careful coming to the Central Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna return back home again. Maryanne Spring is a great local attraction; B and B Rentals is a great local campground.
Places like Round Meadow are good to visit, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Elk Lake Creek. Getting to Pine Cone Creek from Janus Butte Trail is easy, and Graham Pass is a great place to stop at. Yeah, come up here to the Central Cascade Range for a great time. Why not camp at Skookum Lake Campground while you're here at Janus Butte Trail, and Breitenbush River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by.
What a location this is for outdoors folks. Fawn Meadow is a brilliant spot, and in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Collawash River.
