Oregon hiking trails - Jackson Creek Trail, Southern Cascade Range, Douglas County

It's a lengthy tour from Medford to Jackson Creek Trail, but hiking is such a fun thing to do, and this is a magnificent spot to do that. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could
    get stuck so be prepared for that. For the period of the summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Jackson Creek Trail with nighttime lows in the 40's. All through the winter this location gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Jackson Creek Trail dipping down into the 30's
through winter nights. Jackson Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,219 feet which is about average. Oregon has plenty of great hiking and backpacking trails; Jackson Creek Trail is one of them, and it's in Douglas County. Jackson Creek Trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. This great outdoors trail is a mid length great outdoors trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a nice hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a nice adventure. Being 5.8 miles long it's a mid length hike. The great outdoors trails of the Southern Cascade Range are a fine way to explore these peaks. There's not much difference in elevation along the trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your hike.

This river is a great place to visit. A short spree to Sadie Spring is always worthwhile, and Jackson Creek is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Just can't get enough of the Southern Cascade Range. If you came for an overnight stay Cliff Lake Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and Gale Creek is close to Jackson Creek Trail and is always a diversion to go to. So much exciting stuff near Jackson Creek Trail, simply phenomenal. Pup Prairie is a great place here at Jackson Creek Trail, and don’t forget to check out Grasshopper Meadow since you're here at Jackson Creek Trail.
Camping is available at Buckeye Lake Campground, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Rogue River - North Fork.
