Briefly about the general area:
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Float down the rapids of Rogue River - North Fork in a kayak, and some of the water nearby flows, like Gale Creek. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Jackson Creek, and Jackson Creek Trail is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Buckeye Lake Campground is a glorious local campground.
Grasshopper Meadow is right here at Jackson Creek Trail, and don't leave Jackson Creek Trail without first paying a visit to Sadie Spring. Everybody loves Pup Prairie, and swing by Highrock Creek it's a good place to pop by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Southern Cascade Range has to offer. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Grasshopper Spring; camping at Cliff Lake Campground is always a nice experience.
Having a glorious time in the Southern Cascade Range is simple. If time allows, Crater Lake National Park is a national park worth checking out.
