For the period of the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Intake Trail dipping down into the 20's through winter nights. Intake Trail is 3 miles long it's a short backcountry trail. No chance of getting bored in Oregon if you like nature. Intake Trail goes through some very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. This backcountry trail has a total elevation difference of 1,716 feet which is about average. A quick visit to Low Creek in close proximity to Intake Trail is a brilliant idea. Camping is available at Bone Spring Campground, and naturally Broken Creek flows through this vicinity.
