There are so many great backpacking trails for backcountry hiking in Oregon; one of them being Intake Trail in Umatilla County. As long as you like the wilderness you will like Oregon. For the duration of the summer highs here at Intake Trail reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Intake Trail during the winter regularly
    dip into the 20's. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. There are not too many backcountry hiking trails in this area. Intake Trail is a very short great outdoors trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this backcountry
hiking trail wonderful for the average backcountry trekker looking for an exciting adventure. The yearly rain here at Intake Trail is about average; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. Being 3 miles long it's shorter than many wilderness trails. Different parts of this wilderness trail are at very different elevations, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. The total elevation difference for Intake Trail is 1,716 feet, and that  
is about average. This is a two-ended great outdoors hiking trail with two trailheads, so trekking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. Relatively far from Walla Walla you bump into Intake Trail, but it is one of many great hiking and backpacking trails in this vicinity. This backcountry hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. Gotta get out of the settlement man, and Intake Trail in Umatilla County, Oregon is a really great location to spend some time. You should count on this hike taking about 2.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire.

At this river you will always have a good time. Intake Trail is a perfect place to camp, Timothy Spring Campground is a perfect place. Low Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth taking a look at; Bone Spring Campground is a splendid campground here.
