This trail has two trailheads, so backcountry hiking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. With its 13.2 miles of walking distance; it's longer than many hiking and backpacking trails. Of course, this is an overnight walk, 2 days normally, so it's a good thing if your backpack is big enough to do the job. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. Indian Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 3,374 feet, and that is higher than average. Different parts of this hiking and backpacking trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. Keep in mind that this is a long backcountry hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies.
