This hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 638 feet which is a lower than average number. Sometimes this backpacking trail gets really dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Hunter Camp Way is a two ended hiking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of backcountry backpacking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. There's not much difference in elevation along Hunter Camp Way, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors trail. This hike shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. This backpacking trail is not that long but it's always pleasant to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Being 3.4 miles long it's a shorter type backcountry walk.
