Horse Creek Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,926 feet
    which is an average number. This trail has two trailheads which means you have the option of trekking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Different parts of Horse Creek Trail
are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. This is a trail that is quite long, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. This hiking trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backcountry hiking trail nice for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Being 25 miles long; it's a long hiking and backpacking trail. Of course, this is an overnight trek, 4 days normally, so better have big backpack  
to fit all the stuff you need. Horse Creek Trail is a long tour away from Corvallis, but it is one of many good hiking and backpacking trails in this neighborhood. Horse Creek Trail sees pretty high levels of rainfall; December is when you get the most rain here while July is typically the driest month. Summertime at Horse Creek Trail comes with high temperatures in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 50's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Horse Creek Trail. Going for a backcountry hike here in Oregon is a wonderful way to spend some time. There are not too many backcountry hiking trails in this neighborhood.

Camping at Happy Landing RV Park and Marina is always a fine experience, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Cold Spring. You should positively dedicate some time to Barclay Meadows while you're here at Horse Creek Trail, and why not a little side spree to Gold Creek.
You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing things in the Coast Ranges. If you wish for a little side journey, try Hellion Canyon, and do take a look at Boulder Creek since you're here at Horse Creek Trail. Man, is there lots of enjoyable things to do near Horse Creek Trail. Siuslaw National Forest is a tremendous forest vicinity near Horse Creek Trail, and Drift Creek has a fine whitewater paddling spot nearby.
If you fancy the outdoors you'll fancy it here in the Coast Ranges. Do schedule some time to stop by Grassy Point next to Horse Creek Trail if you have a chance; paddling on Alsea River is so much fun. Horse Creek Trail is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Kozy Kove Marina is a fine local campground, and a trip to Klickitat Spring will fill your soul with pleasant feelings.
