Oregon hiking trails - Horse Creek Trail, Central Cascade Range, Lane County

   
  There are numerous backpacking and hiking trails in Oregon, and each one has its own unique attractiveness. Trekking here in Oregon is an excellent way to spend some time. This part of Oregon is always a bliss to have a look at during hiking season. This is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. The high level of rainfall makes Horse Creek Trail a rather wet place; December is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is July. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. This is an area covered with lots of
    great outdoors trails. The total elevation difference for this hiking trail is 1,426 feet, and that is about average. Horse Creek Trail is a very long wilderness trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this a very tough great outdoors trail for advanced backcountry
trekkers looking for a tremendous challenge. Horse Creek Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness trail. With its 19 miles of walking distance; it's a long wilderness trail. You'll have to go far from Bend to get to Horse Creek Trail, but hiking is such a cool thing to do, and this is an outstanding site to do that. Summertime at Horse Creek Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. High temperatures all  
through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Horse Creek Trail. Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and Horse Creek Trail in Lane County, Oregon is such an outstanding site. The wilderness trails of the Central Cascade Range are a very nice way to see these hills. This trek should take you about 2.5 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Sometimes this hiking trail gets really dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. There are so many great backpacking and hiking trails for backcountry hiking in Oregon; one of them being Horse Creek Trail in Lane County. Horse Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be trekking it in and back out.

Wright Spring is an inspiring place to pop by during your stay, and if you're here at Horse Creek Trail it's a great idea to explore Island Meadow. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Camping is available at East Lake Resort and RV Parks, and there are some nice whitewater spots on Squaw Creek.
All the outdoors fun things in the Central Cascade Range will keep you coming back again and again. Looking for some flowing water? Try James Creek. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Horse Creek; Horse Creek Trail is in the vicinity of Corral Draw which is beyond doubt worth checking out. Now, you may believe that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Horse Creek Trail. Why not camp at Upper Campground since you're here at Horse Creek Trail, and hey, Mesa Creek is a good local stream.
A short journey to Honey Creek Falls is always worthwhile, and a pleasant journey to Mink Lake Basin is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon.
