current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. This hiking trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to hike it normally. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Hiyu Trail is a normal length hiking trail with
an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a tremendous hiking trail for experienced backcountry hikers in wonderful shape. With its 6.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length backcountry trail. Each great outdoors trail in Oregon is worth backcountry backpacking.
Hiyu Trail regularly gets a lot of precipitation; the month of December is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest month of the year is July.
Briefly about the general area: Take a little visit to Grasshopper Creek if you're here at Hiyu Trail, and in the event
that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Christy Creek. Some close by water includes Loon Creek, and Echo Campground is a glorious campground nearby. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun things the Central Cascade
Range has to offer. If you came for an overnight stay Twin Springs Campground is a perfect spot to camp; McKenzie River - South Fork is a fine whitewater spot close by.
