Oregon hiking trails - Hiyu Trail, Central Cascade Range, Lane County

   
  Each one of the many wilderness hiking trails of Oregon is worth backcountry trekking. When you're here in Oregon backcountry trekking along one of its wilderness hiking trails is always an exciting thing to do. There are many great wilderness hiking trails in Oregon, and Hiyu Trail in Lane County is one of them. Hiyu Trail is a mid-length backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a splendid wilderness trail for experienced trekkers in nice shape. This is a region covered with lots of wilderness trails. Hiyu Trail has
    a total elevation difference of 1,264 feet which is about average. Hiyu Trail being so far away from the nearest urban center, when you spend some time hiking here you will feel like a whole new person. High temperatures at Hiyu Trail through the summertime months are in the 80's,
and all through the night it cools down to the 40's. Highs all through the winter are generally in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Hiyu Trail sink into the 20's. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in site. This backcountry trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. Hiyu Trail gets a lot of water; of all the months in a  
year December is the one with the most rain; the driest month is July. There's not much difference in elevation along the backpacking trail, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. With its 6.8 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking trail. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Backcountry hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is a really pleasant way to spend quality time in the fresh air. You should count on this hike taking about 6 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Hey, time for a backcountry walk don’t you think? Hiyu Trail in Lane County, Oregon is the outdoors at its best. While visiting this vicinity in Oregon it's a wonderful idea to go backcountry trekking too.

Briefly about the general area:
There are some nice whitewater spots on McKenzie River - South Fork, and some nearby water includes Grasshopper Creek. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Christy Creek, and camping at Echo Campground is always a wonderful experience.
Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. If you came to camp Twin Springs Campground is a splendid place to do that, and Loon Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
