We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and Hardesty Trail in Lane County, Oregon is such a brilliant spot. | | very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the hiking and backpacking trail. Backcountry hiking here in the Central Cascade Range is a tremendous way to explore these hills. Pretty far from Eugene-Springfield you run into Hardesty Trail, but it is a brilliant great outdoors hiking trail. You should count on this walk taking about 7.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. This is just one of a large number of wilderness trails in this vicinity. This hiking and backpacking trail has two trailheads, so backpacking it one way is an option if you can arrange for a ride back. This
is a backcountry hiking trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Hardesty Trail is a normal length backcountry trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful wilderness trail for experienced trekkers in delightful shape. Hardesty
Trail usually gets a good deal of rainfall; most of the rain falls during November, and July is the month with the least moisture. Backpacking in Oregon is a wonderful idea. Hardesty Trail is 8.8 miles long it's a mid length walk.
Briefly about the general area: So much
amusing stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not sufficient time. If you came to camp Casey's Riverside Park is a brilliant location to do that, and there are some perfect whitewater spots on Fall Creek. There's so much to do here at Hardesty Trail that you need to camp
here for a while, Upper End Campground is a great place for that; it's a perfect idea to explore Goodman Creek. A quick journey to Crale Creek in close proximity to Hardesty Trail is a magnificent idea, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Winberry Creek.
