Oregon hiking trails - Hanan Trail, Southern Cascade Range, Lake County

   
  Oregon has plenty of tremendous wilderness trails, and one of those is Hanan Trail in Lake County. Every single Oregon wilderness trail has something unique to offer. We all need to get out in the outdoors once in a while, and Hanan Trail in Lake County, Oregon is the outdoors at its best. Here in Oregon backcountry backpacking is the tremendous thing to do. While visiting this region in Oregon it's a wonderful idea to go backcountry trekking too. Summer at Hanan Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures
    sink down into the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Hanan Trail are in the 20's. This backcountry hike should take you about 2 days, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. Keep in mind that this is a
long trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. Around Hanan Trail you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is December, and the driest of the months is July. At parts of the year this vicinity sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Hanan Trail is rather distant from the least distant town, and if you're looking for a good place to go backcountry backpacking, this is a good pick. Hanan Trail is 13.6 miles long; it's longer than many hiking and backpacking trails. Please follow  
all local rules about fires and camping. These wilderness trails here in the Southern Cascade Range are a wonderful way to explore these peaks. There are two trailheads to chose from, one in each end, so if you can get a ride from someone, you can hike it just one way. The hiking and backpacking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole hiking and backpacking trail. The number of backpacking and hiking trails in this vicinity is not very high. The total elevation difference for Hanan Trail is 862 feet which is a lower than average number. This wilderness trail is many miles long with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a great backpacking and hiking trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in delightful shape.

Government Harvey Pass is a magnificent place to pop by in close proximity to Hanan Trail, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Witham Creek. So many exciting things to do at Hanan Trail, so little time. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Hanan Trail has to offer, you can camp at Dairy Creek Campground.
So much fun stuff to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not enough time. Boulder Spring is a delightful local attraction, and you can stay the night at North Creek Campground. Bald Butte Spring is a beautiful place to check out while you're at Hanan Trail; if you're here at Hanan Trail it's a perfect idea to go to Kates Dairy. A pleasant journey to Harvey Flat is a splendid way to spend an afternoon; why not take a little journey to East Witham Creek if you're here.
