Oregon hiking trails - Hanan Trail, Southern Cascade Range, Lake County

There are backcountry hiking trails all over Oregon, and Hanan Trail in Lake County is one of them. This backcountry trek should take you about 2 days, so make sure you've got all your overnight gear packed. Hanan Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes this hiking and backpacking trail wonderful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.
    As long as you like the wilderness you will like Oregon. The wilderness hiking trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. The number of hiking and backpacking trails in this
area is not very high. Keep in mind that this is a long wilderness hiking trail, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. At parts of the year this neighborhood sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. Hanan Trail has a total elevation difference of 862 feet which is lower than average. Hanan Trail is a two ended hiking and backpacking trail with two trailheads which means you have the option of hiking it one way if you have someone to pick you up at the other end. Hanan Trail is pretty secluded from  
the most adjacent urban center, and It's always amusing to trek here. Hanan Trail is a location that is relatively dry mostly; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Backcountry trails like this one here in the Southern Cascade Range are a really fine way to spend quality time in the wilderness. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. With its 13.6 miles of walking distance; it's considered a longer trek. There are numerous backcountry hiking trails in Oregon, and each one has its own character. Through the months of summer at Hanan Trail temperatures are regularly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Hanan Trail.

Briefly about the general area:
So many exciting things to do in the Southern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. There's some flowing water nearby, Witham Creek is a stream you can stop by during your stay, and a short tour to Bald Butte Spring is always worthwhile. Why not camp at Dairy Creek Campground since you're here at Hanan Trail, and sites like Harvey Flat are tremendous to stop by.
This spot rules, just explore all the fun things to do in close proximity to Hanan Trail. Boulder Spring is a pretty location to take a look at while you're at Hanan Trail. If you feel like a little side spree, try Government Harvey Pass; a magnificent spot to camp here at Hanan Trail is North Creek Campground. East Witham Creek flows through this area; Kates Dairy is a good spot to stretch your legs a bit.
