Going for a backcountry hike here in Oregon is so much fun. Every single Oregon backpacking trail has something unique to offer. It's a lengthy trip from Bend to Green Lakes Trail, but it sure is a a good wilderness hiking trail. Oregon has plenty of nice backpacking trails; one of those is Green Lakes Trail in Deschutes County. Oregon is a wonderful outdoors
    state. For the duration of the summertime at Green Lakes Trail temperatures are usually in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. All through the wintertime highs are frequently in the 30's, and night lows during the wintertime for Green Lakes Trail
tend to be in the 10's. Keep in mind that this is a long hiking trail, so do pack enough food to last the whole trip. Great outdoors hiking trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these peaks. And keep in mind that there could be temporary safety restrictions in place. This is one of many great outdoors trails in the surrounding area. Being 8.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry trek. The length of Green Lakes Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this great outdoors  
trail delightful for hard core backpackers looking for adventure. Gotta get out of the town man, and Green Lakes Trail in Deschutes County, Oregon is the fresh air at its best. This backpacking and hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 929 feet which is lower than average. You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Green Lakes Trail gets a lot of water; most of the snow falls through December, and the driest month of the year is July. Green Lakes Trail is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out.

A trip to Pole Creek Spring will fill your soul with great feelings, and naturally Soap Creek is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at. Yeah, come here to Green Lakes Trail for a great time. Blue Lake Resort is a brilliant local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Park Meadow is a great place to check out, and do put some time aside to spend at Squaw Creek Falls while you're here at Green Lakes Trail.
Don't forget to take a good little spree to West Fork Park Creek, and there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Squaw Creek. Why not camp at Camp Tamarack while you're here at Green Lakes Trail, and Red Meadow is a beautiful site any time of year.
