You spend the whole backcountry trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole wilderness hiking trail. The time needed for this backcountry walk is roughly 7.5 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit
faster. Green Lakes Trail gets a lot of water; most of the snow falls through December, and the driest month of the year is July. Green Lakes Trail is a one trailhead backpacking and hiking trail, so you'll be trekking it in and back out.

enjoy the Central Cascade Range. Park Meadow is a great place to check out, and do put some time aside to spend at Squaw Creek Falls while you're here at Green Lakes Trail. Don't forget to take a good little spree to West Fork Park Creek, and there are some brilliant whitewater
spots on Squaw Creek. Why not camp at Camp Tamarack while you're here at Green Lakes Trail, and Red Meadow is a beautiful site any time of year.
