There are plenty of backcountry hiking trails in Oregon; each one of them is delightful in its own way. Lots of rainfall falls at Grayback Trail; December is the wettest month with most rain while July is mostly the driest month. Wilderness trails for backpacking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon; Grayback Trail in Douglas County is one of them. With its 3.6 miles of walking distance it's a shorter type backcountry walk.
    Ok, you've been cooped up too long, time to get out in the great outdoors a bit, and if you happen to be in Douglas County of Oregon, Grayback Trail is a brilliant local great outdoors trail for doing a bit of leg stretching. During the summertime at Grayback Trail highs are frequently
in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Grayback Trail temperatures sink to the 30's. Trekking here in the Coast Ranges is a very pleasant way to see these mountaintops. Grayback Trail is not that long but it's always magnificent to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. This backpacking and hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before

This wilderness trail is on the short side having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a good backpacking trail for the average person looking for a good adventure. Different parts of this hiking trail are at very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Grayback Trail has a total elevation difference of 2,268 feet which is an average number. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 3 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The number of backpacking trails in this region is not very high. Grayback Trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out trek. You'll need to go far from Grants Pass to get to Grayback Trail, but hiking it is great amusement any time.

Lunsbury Creek is a nice local stream, and a perfect place to camp here at Grayback Trail is Creekside Rv Resort. But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Coast Ranges. Take a side visit to Spring Creek, and Grayback Trail is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Meadow wood RV Park and Campground is a perfect local campground.
