3.6 miles long it's shorter than many backpacking trails. These hiking trails here in the Coast Ranges are a really great way to spend quality time in the fresh air. Different parts of Grayback Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared
for different conditions on different parts of the backpacking trail. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 2,268 feet which is about average.
Briefly about the general area: Take a little spree to Spring Creek since you're here at Grayback Trail,
and Grayback Trail is a fine place to camp, Meadow wood RV Park and Campground is a fine place. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Coast Ranges. Some close by water includes Lunsbury Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Grayback Trail has to offer, you can camp at Grants Pass/Sunny Valley KOA.
