  A visit to Oregon is not complete without some trekking. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Grayback Trail in Douglas County, Oregon is a really great site to spend some time. There are numerous backcountry hiking trails in Oregon, and each one has its own character. The number of backcountry hiking trails in this region is not very high. This hiking trail is not that long but you should still bring some emergency supplies just in case something happens. You'll need to go far from Grants Pass to get to Grayback
    Trail, but backcountry hiking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a nice site to do that. Backcountry backpacking here in Oregon is so much fun. There are so many wonderful backcountry hiking trails for backcountry trekking in Oregon, and Grayback Trail in Douglas County
is one of them. This hiking trail sometimes gets very dry, so do check for current fire restrictions before you go if you plan to bring a stove or make a camp fire. The high level of rainfall makes Grayback Trail a relatively wet spot; through December this region sees the most rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. You should count on this backcountry trek taking about 3 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. This hiking trail is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing  
distance which makes this backcountry hiking trail good for the average trekker looking for an enjoyable adventure. This wilderness trail has only one trailhead, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. All through the days of summer highs here at Grayback Trail reach the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's with temperatures at Grayback Trail dipping down into the 30's during winter nights. Being 3.6 miles long it's shorter than many backpacking trails. These hiking trails here in the Coast Ranges are a really great way to spend quality time in the fresh air. Different parts of Grayback Trail are at very different elevations which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backpacking trail. This wilderness trail has a total elevation difference of 2,268 feet which is about average.

Take a little spree to Spring Creek since you're here at Grayback Trail, and Grayback Trail is a fine place to camp, Meadow wood RV Park and Campground is a fine place.
But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Coast Ranges. Some close by water includes Lunsbury Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Grayback Trail has to offer, you can camp at Grants Pass/Sunny Valley KOA.
