not very high. This walk shouldn't take more than 3 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. It's a lengthy trip from Medford to Goss Trail, but backpacking is such an enjoyable thing to do, and this is a brilliant spot to do that. This is not a
very long great outdoors trail but it's always tremendous to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Goss Trail stays roughly within the same elevation zone the whole time, so you get pretty much the same conditions along the whole great outdoors trail.
Goss Trail gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Goss Trail is a very short hiking trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it
a perfect hiking and backpacking trail for the average person looking for a perfect adventure.
Briefly about the general area: Don't leave Goss Trail without first paying a visit to Misfit Spring, and places like Parker Meadows are great to check out. Goss Trail is a
good location to visit for more than one day, Upper South Fork Campground is a good location to camp nearby. So many fun things to do here in the Southern Cascade Range, too great to be true. Stay the night at Saddle Campground, and Crater Lake National Park is a good national park.
