    of the Central Cascade Range are a very good way to see these highlands. Being 5.8 miles long it's a mid length walk. This is a one trailhead backcountry hiking trail, so you'll be backcountry backpacking it in and back out. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping.
There are not too many great outdoors hiking trails in this region. This hiking trail is a mid length hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a wonderful great outdoors hiking trail for the average person looking for a wonderful adventure. Gold Point Trail sees pretty high levels of rain; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This walk shouldn't take more than 5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Different parts of this hiking trail are at  
very different elevations, and that means that some parts of the hiking trail could be very different from other parts of it. Put on your backcountry trekking shoes, and hit the hiking and backpacking trail, Gold Point Trail in Lane County, Oregon is a really fine location to spend some time. Summertime at Gold Point Trail comes with high temperatures in the 80's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. During the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Gold Point Trail temperatures fall to the 30's. This backcountry hiking trail has a total elevation difference of 2,706 feet which is higher than average. Here in Oregon backcountry backpacking is always an exciting thing to do. Gold Point Trail is not that long but it's always magnificent to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.

Briefly about the general area:
If you want a perfect time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Central Cascade Range. If you came to camp Oakridge RV Park is a great place to do that, and whitewater paddling is fine on Willamette River - North Fork of Middle Fork.
Camping at Oakridge Mobile Home Park is always a good experience, and there's some flowing water close by, PK Creek is a stream you can explore while here. Marine Creek is close to Gold Point Trail and is always a joy to have a look at; paddling on Christy Creek is so much fun.
