Every Oregon great outdoors trail has its own unique loveliness. The trails of the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these peaks. Even though this is not a very long backcountry trail it's always great to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen. Summertime highs at Gold Lake Trail commonly tend to be in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Highs through the winter are usually in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Gold Lake Trail. There are so many trails in this area. This region does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. a building, time to get out, and Gold Lake Trail in Lane County, Oregon is such a magnificent location. Gold Lake Trail being so secluded from the closest urban center, what a magnificent location for hiking it is. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length trek.
This hike shouldn't take more than 3.5 hours, but of course some people walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. Gold Lake Trail gets much water; most of the rain falls through December, and July is when it's the driest. Backcountry backpacking in Oregon is a good idea. This trail
is a normal length trail with an average amount of climbing distance which makes this trail great for the average trekker looking for a fun adventure.
Briefly about the general area: Gold Lake Trail is great enough to spend more than a day at, Twin Springs Campground
is a great local campground. So much fun stuff to do in the Central Cascade Range, not enough time. There's some flowing water close by, Bechel Creek is a stream you can pop by while here; Riggs Meadow is a good place to check out. Full Creek is a stream that you may encounter
while here. There's so much to do here at Gold Lake Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Shelter Cove Resort is a fine place for that. A spree to Pothole Meadow rejuvenates the spirit, and close by you discover Willamette Pass which is a perfect spot to check out.
