| | long drive from Albany-Lebanon, but backpacking is such an exciting thing to do, and this is a fine place to do that. Every Oregon wilderness trail has something unique to offer. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. You spend the whole trek in roughly the same elevation zone, so you won’t have to worry about different climate zones along your trek. You should count on this walk taking about 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. Being 4.2 miles long it's a mid length trek. | |

and July is the month with the least moisture. Gold Hill Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,073 feet which is about average. At Gold Hill Trail during the warmest time of the year highs are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 40's. Daytime
highs through the wintertime are in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Gold Hill Trail. Gold Hill Trail is a normal length backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it an excellent great outdoors hiking trail for the average person
looking for an excellent adventure.
Briefly about the general area: Whitewater paddling is perfect on Lookout Creek, and some of the water close by flows, like Seventeen Creek. Camping is available at Lazy Days Mobile Park; hey, East Fork Keeney Creek is a fine local
stream. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Central Cascade Range. McKenzie River has a good whitewater paddling spot nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Mc Kenzie River Trailer/rv Court is a splendid place to camp.
