Oregon hiking trails - Gold Hill Trail, Central Cascade Range, Linn County

   
  Each one of the many hiking trails of Oregon is worth backcountry backpacking. It's a lengthy tour from Albany-Lebanon to Gold Hill Trail, but it is a really great hiking trail. You can't spend all your time indoors you need to get out once in a while, and Gold Hill Trail in Linn County, Oregon is a nice location for getting out. This vicinity does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. There is only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally.
    Great hiking trails in Oregon are in abundance; Gold Hill Trail is one of them, and it's in Linn County. There are not too many backpacking and hiking trails in this region. Gold Hill Trail is a wet spot that gets much rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the
rain, and the driest month is July. With its 4.2 miles of walking distance it's an average length backpacking and hiking trail. At Gold Hill Trail through the warm months highs are in the 70's; during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Gold Hill Trail. You spend the whole hike in roughly the same elevation zone which means the conditions are about the same from start to finish. The backpacking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really glorious  
way to spend quality time in the wilderness. When you're here in Oregon backcountry backpacking along one of its hiking trails is always a cool thing to do. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. Backcountry hiking here in Oregon is a must. Gold Hill Trail has a total elevation difference of 1,073 feet which is about average. You should count on this backcountry hike taking about 3.5 hours, but you never know stuff could go wrong and you could get stuck so be prepared for that. The length of Gold Hill Trail is about average with an average amount of climbing distance which makes it a splendid backpacking and hiking trail for the average person looking for a splendid adventure. This trail is not that long but it's always magnificent to bring some emergency supplies, you never know what could happen.

Briefly about the general area:
That right there is heaps of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Central Cascade Range has it all. Mc Kenzie River Trailer/rv Court is a glorious campground here, and if you come at the right time of year, McKenzie River offers some delightful whitewater.
Camping at Gold Hill Trail is good fun, Lazy Days Mobile Park is a good local campground, and swing by East Fork Keeney Creek it's a magnificent location to visit. This is a really good river. Seventeen Creek is a magnificent local stream, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Lookout Creek.
