This great outdoors trail has only one trailhead, so you're looking at an in and out backcountry walk. Gobel Creek Trail is a pretty wet spot typically with a good deal of precipitation; November is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is July. The total elevation difference for this great outdoors trail is 632 feet which is lower than average. At parts of the year this region sees very little rain, so don’t forget to check for any current fire restrictions before you go. There are not too many backpacking trails in this vicinity. Backcountry backpacking in Oregon is the brilliant thing to do.

A good place to camp here at Gobel Creek Trail is Oakridge Mobile Home Park. In case you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Hills Creek; Gobel Creek Trail is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Oakridge RV Park is a wonderful local campground.
You'll beyond doubt wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things in the Central Cascade Range. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Gobel Creek Trail is Salt Creek, and a short trip to Cottonwood Spring is always worthwhile.
