Oregon hiking trails - Glade Creek Trail, Blue Mountains, Grant County

Alright, enough of spending all this time inside a building, time to get out, and Glade Creek Trail in Grant County, Oregon is such a wonderful site. Glade Creek Trail is to be found a relatively lengthy drive from Pendleton-Hermiston, but it's one of those sites where backcountry trekking is perfect. Glade Creek Trail is commonly a rather dried up spot; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. The total elevation difference for Glade
    Creek Trail is 2,882 feet which is a higher than average number. While visiting this neighborhood in Oregon it's a great idea to go backcountry trekking too. This area does get very dry sometimes, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest
authorities before you head out. Please follow all local rules about fires and camping. With its 13.6 miles of walking distance; it's a long hiking and backpacking trail. Of course, this is an overnight backcountry hike, 2 days normally, so better have big backpack to fit all the stuff you need. The lovely hiking trails of the Blue Mountains are a great way to explore these highlands. Now this hiking trail is pretty long, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Wilderness hiking trails for trekking, and backpacking can be found all over Oregon; one of  
them being Glade Creek Trail in Grant County. Here in the great state of Oregon trekking is a great idea. Summertime highs at Glade Creek Trail frequently tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 30's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Glade Creek Trail dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. Some parts of Glade Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the hiking and backpacking trail, so keep in mind that you may need to dress differently at different elevations. This is just one of a large number of trails in this neighborhood. Glade Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to walk it normally. Glade Creek Trail is many miles long having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a splendid trail for experienced backcountry trekkers in pleasant shape.

Briefly about the general area:
A glorious place to explore near Glade Creek Trail is Faulkner Gulch, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on John Day River - North Fork. Coming to this river is always a good idea. A short spree to Sunset Spring is always worthwhile, and Line Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth checking out.
You definitely must go for Glade Creek Trail. Farley Spring is a gorgeous location to take a look at while you're at Glade Creek Trail. There's so much to do here at Glade Creek Trail that you need to camp here for a while, Trough Creek Campground is a great place for that. Do set aside some time for Lost Horse Meadow while you're here at Glade Creek Trail. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Glade Creek Trail has to offer, you can camp at Deerhorn Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Blue Mountains.
But wait, there's more fun things to do in the Blue Mountains. Some nearby water includes Skinner Creek, and a pleasant trip to Bull Prairie is a great way to spend an afternoon.
