This hiking and backpacking trail is a mid length hiking and backpacking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes it a great trail for experienced trekkers in tremendous shape. The hiking and backpacking trails of the Central Cascade Range are a really fine way
to spend quality time in the fresh air. Throughout the warm months at Fox Creek Trail highs are regularly in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime
temperatures at Fox Creek Trail plunge into the 30's. This is a one trailhead wilderness trail, so you'll be backpacking it in and back out. This is a trail that is quite long, so don't forget to pack enough supplies. With its 7.2 miles of walking distance it's a mid length backcountry
trek. Here in the tremendous state of Oregon backcountry hiking never gets boring.
Briefly about the general area: In the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Breitenbush River, and getting to Scorpion Creek from Fox Creek
Trail is trouble-free. All year is a good time in the Central Cascade Range if you go for the outdoors. If you came for an overnight stay Detroit Lake State Park is a brilliant place to camp; some of the water nearby flows, like Fox Creek. B and B Rentals is a great campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is good on Collawash River.
