  Finally, backcountry trekking time is here again, and Fox Creek Trail in Marion County, Oregon is such a great place. A long journey divides Hood River from Fox Creek Trail, but backcountry trails like these are delightful. Every Oregon hiking trail has its own character. Being 7.2 miles long it's a mid length backcountry hike. In Oregon you never run out of outdoors fun. Sometimes this backpacking and hiking trail gets really dry, so make sure you check current conditions and fire restrictions with local forest authorities before you head out. This is
    one of many backcountry trails in the surrounding region. Summertime at Fox Creek Trail arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and the overnight is a little cooler of course, ordinarily in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 40's, and winter
nights come with lows in the 30's to Fox Creek Trail. Keep in mind that this is a long backpacking and hiking trail, so make sure you bring plenty of supplies. Fox Creek Trail is a wet place that gets a lot of rain; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. Don’t forget to check for any current restrictions or closures before you go. Fox Creek Trail has only one trailhead, so in and out is the way to trek it normally. If you happen to be in Oregon, why not go backcountry hiking, it is the fine thing to do. This  
hike shouldn't take more than 6 hours, but of course some folks walk a bit slower and some a bit faster. There are hiking trails all over Oregon; one of them being Fox Creek Trail in Marion County. The total elevation difference for Fox Creek Trail is 1,917 feet which is about average. Wilderness trails like this one here in the Central Cascade Range are the best way to enjoy these hills. Some parts of Fox Creek Trail are much higher up than other parts of the backcountry trail which of course means you need to be prepared for different conditions on different parts of the backcountry trail. This wilderness hiking trail is a mid length wilderness hiking trail having an average number of uphill miles which makes this backcountry trail tremendous for hard core backpackers looking for adventure.

You clearly ought to fancy the Central Cascade Range. Breitenbush River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby, and why not camp at Detroit Lake State Park while you're here at Fox Creek Trail. Paddling on Collawash River is so much fun, and if you're here, you could pop by Scorpion Creek.
